Frame Construction

milt chassis 004.jpg

Our frame is round-tube DOM 1 1/2", 1/8" wall. The frame is jig assembled. The cockpit is stabilized with shear panels. The photo below does not have the outer panels installed nor the rear tunnel.

The frame is designed for any Chevrolet engine. The builder only needs to specify which engine/trans so that the mounts can be fabricated. The foot boxes rest behind the headers so there is not a heat problem like the original. The pedal assemblies are mounted into the top of the foot box.

Shown above is the mount location for the master cylinders.  Pedal assembly is installed prior to shipping.  Opening on the side is access to adjust balance.
